About the Role:
We’re looking for a highly skilled, self-sufficient Mobile Game Developer who can take games from concept to app store submission with minimal oversight. You’ll own the entire development lifecycle for two mobile games, including design, programming, art (or asset coordination), sound, testing, and deployment. This is a contract role with the potential to evolve into full-time or recurring project-based work based on performance and project success.project success.
Responsibilities:
Develop two mobile games (concept to launch) for iOS/Android, handling all stages independently:
Game Design: Translate high-level concepts into engaging mechanics and features.
Programming: Write clean, efficient code (Unity, Unreal, or native engines).
Art & Animation: Create or source/assets (e.g., 2D/3D art, UI, animations).
Audio: Integrate sound effects/music (or collaborate with freelancers if needed).
Testing & Debugging: Ensure performance, polish, and bug-free releases.
App Store Submission: Handle store listings, metadata, and compliance.
Work autonomously but collaborate with stakeholders for feedback/iterations.
Optimize games for performance, monetization (ads/IAPs), and scalability.
Requirements:
Proven experience shipping at least 2-3 mobile games solo or as a lead developer.
Full-cycle expertise: Comfortable owning design, code, art pipeline, and publishing.
Tech Stack: Proficiency in Unity (C#) or Unreal Engine (Blueprint/C++).
Bonus: Familiarity with tools like Blender, Photoshop, FMOD/Wwise.
Problem-solver: Ability to troubleshoot technical/creative challenges independently.
Portfolio required: Links to published games or demo projects.
Sign an NDA and release full ownership of the app.
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience with hyper-casual, puzzle, or idle game mechanics.
Knowledge of ad networks (AdMob, Unity Ads) and analytics.
Understanding of ASO (App Store Optimization).
